What is ASPIRE?
The ASPIRE program at Fox Lane High School is an unpaid, culminating experience to enrich a student's high school career. It offers release time from school to gain knowledge outside of the classroom. This 6-week program provides students with a hands-on learning opportunity to gain experience in a career of their choice.
Building school and business partnerships
ASPIRE appreciates the support and participation from area businesses. If you would be willing to serve as a site supervisor to a Fox Lane student, please reach out to us at the contact details below. We thank you in advance for helping to enrich our community involvement and contributing to the development of tomorrow's leaders.
How does the program work?
Senior students...
- select career areas of interest
- are matched with site supervisors
- meet with coordinators for guidance and instruction
- are required to complete a minimum of 25 hours of on-site interning per week
- maintain journals of their experience
- are evaluated by their site supervisor, mentor and coordinator
